Hello My Name Is...

Jodi Schulz

Ms. Schulz

Although native to Montana, I was fortunate to have adventurous parents who pulled up their roots early on and whisked our family across the globe to experience a multitude of cultures and lifestyles. I eventually returned to the United States, emerging into my unfamiliar native culture with a very unique world view, one that has since molded and inspired my unconventional life and art.

I received my bachelor of arts in art education from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1989 and my master of fine arts in figurative painting from the Academy of Art University in 2011. After early careers in interior design and visual merchandising, I decided to begin teaching art at the high school level, and I have never looked back.

Florida was my home for sixteen years, however I longed for the wide expanses and lifestyle of the West, so in 2016 I accepted the opportunity to teach art to West Wendover’s awesome kids.  I have since fallen in love with the desert and our community. I spend my down time working on my art, chasing wild horses, bicycling across the grand expanses of the west and hiking with my dogs.
