Carlin High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Baseball Coach to join our competitive baseball program for the upcoming 2024-2025 Spring season. This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop student-athletes, contribute to a team-focused environment, and help take our baseball program to the next level.
Previous coaching experience (preferably at the high school or collegiate level) or playing experience at the high school level or beyond.
Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive environment that encourages both athletic and personal growth.
Must be available for practices, games, and off-season training.
CPR/First Aid Certification
NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
NFHS Concussion Certified
Must be able to pass a background check through Elko County School District

During the week of November 4, students 5th-12th grade will have the opportunity to take the Nevada School Climate/Social Emotional Learning Survey in their Advisory class. This survey is administered throughout the state of Nevada during the Fall to gather student feedback about their experiences at school. The survey is an opportunity for students to anonymously share their experiences of their school’s climate with their school, school district, and Nevada Department of Education. To learn more about the survey, visit nevadaschoolclimate.org. Questions on the survey are optional. Students can choose not to answer any question they do not want to answer.
