Our music teacher Mrs. Gowans is THRILLED to share that an exciting donation was received at MVE today. A huge shout out and thank you to Mr. John Urban for the generous gift of a PLAYER PIANO and 80 ROLLS OF MUSIC for our students to enjoy!
Thank you so much, Mr. Urban! We sincerely appreciate your support of our music program at Mountain View Elementary.

The weather is cooling down and we want to make sure that students are warm when they are outside. Please remember that shorts should not be worn after October 31. As we get cooler temperatures with rain and snow, please send appropriate gear so students can stay warm and dry when outdoors. Need assistance with warm winter clothing? Reach out to our counselor Mrs. Hysell, or speak with your child's teacher!

Happy Halloween! Our annual Halloween Costume Parade will take place on October 31 at 3pm. Please make sure costumes do not include blood, weapons, or masks. Parents are welcome !

We will have picture makeups for students who were absent on picture day, or who would like their pictures re-taken. If you purchased photos you would like re-done, please send photo packages back to school with your student. If you would like to purchase photos, please visit bellphoto.com and use code mountainview24elko. Please let your child's teacher know you would like retakes.

Parents: Your child will be bringing home the 2024-25 Federal Impact Aid Form on or about September 30. These forms are pre-bubbled. All you need to do is update your work status.
Please complete all the fields that pertain to you, date and sign, and have your child return it to their school as soon as possible. By returning this form, you are helping our school district receive the appropriate amount of funding for our schools from the federal government.

We have made adjustments to several bus routes following the first few weeks of school. Most changes for Spring Creek are minor, while the Elko routes have undergone more significant updates. If your student rides the Dragonfly bus to Adobe, please be aware that this route has the most notable changes. To view the updated schedules, please visit our transportation webpage https://www.ecsdnv.net/page/transportation-department. Thank you for your attention, and we appreciate your support in helping ensure smooth transportation for all students!

We are in need of pants and shoes of all sizes for kids in grades kindergarten-4th. If you are able to donate any extras, please bring clean, gently used items to the front office. Thank you!
Necesitamos pantalones y zapatos de todos los tamaños para niños desde jardín de infantes hasta cuarto grado. Si puede donar algún extra, traiga artículos limpios y poco usados a la oficina principal. ¡Gracias!

MVE Grownups! We have had some confusion about what you intend to be a snack for your child, and what you intend to be their lunch.
Please pack lunches in lunch boxes or bags, and send snacks outside of the lunch box/bag (just in their backpack or a separate grocery bag or Ziploc). This will help our teachers to quickly know who brought cold lunch and who needs to be counted for hot lunch.
We greatly appreciate your help with this matter!

We recently received this beautiful eagle sculpture to display at our school. Thank you to Randi Leyba, the grandparent of a couple of our MVE students, for this generous gift! #EaglesSoarMVE 🦅
