A Message from Our Principal

Dear Wolverines,

Welcome to our website! I am honored to serve as the principal of West Wendover High School. As we continue to build upon our history of academic and cultural excellence, we also recognize and celebrate the challenges that come with balancing life as a high school student.

One of the important programs we offer at West Wendover High School is Response to Intervention (RTI) Advisory. RTI is an after-school support program designed to provide additional assistance and resources to students who may need extra support in their academic journey.

RTI Advisory occurs every Tuesday through Thursday from 12:15 to 12:50 p.m. During this time, students have the opportunity to receive targeted intervention and personalized instruction to help them overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential. The dedicated staff members in the RTI program are trained to identify student-specific needs and provide tailored support to address those needs effectively. We believe that every student deserves a chance to succeed, and RTI Advisory plays a crucial role in ensuring that no student is left behind. It provides a supportive environment where students can receive individualized attention, work on specific skills, and receive guidance from knowledgeable educators. Whether it's catching up on missed coursework, improving study habits, or reinforcing core concepts, RTI Advisory aims to empower students and help them thrive academically.

Our goal is to foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth, and RTI Advisory is an integral part of that mission. We encourage students to actively participate in this program and take advantage of the valuable resources and support it offers. It's important to note that RTI Advisory is not only for struggling students but also for those who want to further enhance their skills and excel academically. Parents and guardians, we invite you to support your child's participation in RTI Advisory. Encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity to receive personalized guidance and support. Stay engaged in their academic progress by discussing their experiences and progress in the program. Together, we can help our students overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their academic goals.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the RTI Advisory program, please don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff or contact the school office. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.

Thank you for being a part of our school community, and we look forward to another successful year of academic growth and achievement.

Most sincerely,

Craig Kyllonen
