Students will be released early at 2:15 PM on December 18. There will be no school from December 19 through January 5 for winter break.

West Wendover High School students earned top recognition in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the Northern Nevada region. Gold Key awards were presented to Sydney Howry for Drawing and Autumn Roberts for Illustration. Honorable Mention awards were earned by Camila Magallanes and Derek Guillen for Ceramics, as well as Citlaly Soriano for Drawing.
The two Gold Key–winning artworks from West Wendover High School will advance to national judging and be exhibited in February at the Sheppard Contemporary Gallery in the Church Fine Arts Building at the University of Nevada, Reno.
