Dear Parents and Guardians,
This is a friendly reminder that starting next week, teachers will begin issuing T.I.E. (Timeliness is Expected) slips if your child is late to class. The T.I.E. program requires that a parent or guardian bring your child to school the next day and sign them back in between 7:45 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. Please note that your child will receive detention until they are signed back in by a parent or guardian.
Additionally, if your child is tardy at least five times in one semester, the school will contact you to arrange a conference with you, your child, and an administrator. Should further tardies occur after this conference, your child will be assigned to In-School Suspension after their 10th tardy.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our students are punctual and ready to learn.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
During advisory on Monday, your student was issued a Chromebook. Along with the Chromebook, a few documents were provided, including a page from our Chromebook Manual outlining fees and fines. Please disregard that page, as we have received an updated manual since then.
Please refer to the most current manual, which reflects updated replacement fees. The manual can be found online on our school website.

The West Wendover Track team had a legendary weekend at Track State last week in Carson City! It was another weekend of personal bests and hard work and setting THREE School Records.
First, Adara Griffith 2X State Champion broke her own record of 16' 10" and topped the podium defending her state title.
Jorge Rodriguez qualified in an impressive four events (the most events possible for one athlete) and left his mark on WWHS by breaking his record for the 400m dash running 52.44 seconds.
Finally, after an inspiring fight to the finish line a group of four FRESHMAN broke our 4x400m relay school record running a 4:58. The girls on this team: Sydney Howry, Emma Prieto, Keyla Escareno and Anaya Hernandez had only raced the 4x400 one other time. Even though they are just freshmen they are leaders on the team because of their hard work, leadership and ability to be team players. We are excited for great things from these girls in the future.
West Wendover Track and Field would like to thank their school and community for all their support this season! We would also like to congratulate ALL athletes this season on an unforgettable season of hard work and personal growth.
Thank you to our 2024 Seniors for sticking it out through the whole season and representing WWHS: Jorge, Adara, Xitlaly, Manuel, Daisy, David R., David S., Sofia, Omar, Aileen, Mateo, Danny and Jordan!

As the year comes to an end in the next few weeks, we have many events planned! Please join our music, art, and drama departments for a fun evening!

With gratitude, we honor all teachers, and in particular our teachers at WWHS, during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your tireless efforts and unwavering commitment are truly valued. Thank you for your invaluable contributions to our school community!
WWHS Teachers, we hope that you enjoy the activities that have been planned to celebrate this special week!
